BRIEF: RUBBER EXPANSION BELLOW LIFECYCLE REPLACEMENT
DURATION: 3 MONTHS APPROX. VALUE: £50K – £100K
SCOPE OF WORKS: As part of the buildings lifecycle analysis survey, it was identified that 102 bellows on both the LTHW and CHW systems needed replacing due to their age and condition.
Our projects and technical teams needed to ensure that all of the systems remained operational during normal working hours, so a programme was developed outside of normal working hours to replace the bellows systematically.
To provide an overview we would offer the below;
- Removal of the existing bellows and installation of new.
- Liquid Nitrogen pipe freezes where required for approximately 30% of the bellows as the isolation
valves failed. - Replacement of any failed isolation valves.
- Scaffolding erected in some locations to provide access.
- Lagging of all new bellows installed.
